City news site’s editor to leave for new role after five years

Andy WordenA city news website’s editor is set to leave his role after five years with the title.

Reach plc is advertising for a new editor at MyLondon, a position currently held by Andy Worden, left.

Reach has declined to reveal further details about what Andy, pictured, is moving on to.

However, it is understood he is staying with the company and will be heading up a new team.

During his career, Andy has served as news editor of the Bucks Herald and later took on the editorship of the Croydon Advertiser.

In 2010, he moved the Crawley News and East Grinstead Observer but retook charge of the Advertiser in a 2015 restructure.

At that point, he became senior editor for East Surrey and Sussex News and Media.

Andy later added Trinity Mirror’s Get West London to his portfolio, prior to the company’s launch of MyLondon in 2018.

Andy initially led MyLondon’s breaking news team and was later promoted to its editorship.

HTFP has approached Reach for further information about Andy’s move.
