Deputy editor quits city title for national newsdesk role

Hannah KaneThe deputy editor of a city news title has left to take up a newsdesk role on a national newspaper.

Hannah Kane, second in command at MyLondon, has moved to become assistant news editor at its Reach plc sister paper the Daily Mirror.

Hannah, pictured, has spent the past four years with MyLondon, serving in roles including content editor, digital editor and, at one point, acting editor there.

She began her career on Essex Live in 2017, working as a multimedia journalist.

Posting on Twitter, Hannah wrote that she had “truly had the best time with an even better bunch of people” at MyLondon.

She took up her new post with the Mirror last month.

Hannah’s departure comes as MyLondon seeks a new editor, with incumbent Andy Worden moving to a new, as-yet-undisclosed role with Reach.
