Launch editor leaves city title for publisher’s ‘exciting new project’

Rosalind ErskineThe launch editor of a city news website is leaving her role to start an “exciting new project” with its sister daily.

National World has announced Rosalind Erskine will be leaving Glasgow World, which she has edited since the website launched in August last year.

Rosalind, pictured, will be taking up a new post to work on an as-yet unspecified project for Glasgow World’s publisher National World, with a particular focus on its Edinburgh-based daily The Scotsman.

She worked for The Scotsman between 2017 and taking up Glasgow World’s editorship, and also hosts its food and drink podcast ‘Scran’.

Rosalind told HTFP: “I’m really looking forward to starting my new role within National World, specifically The Scotsman and working on an exciting new project.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time as editor of Glasgow World, which has gone from strength to strength.

“It has been a great job, championing the city I love and live in, along with my talented team. I look forward to seeing it continue to grow and thrive.”

A replacement for Rosalind is now being sought at Glasgow World.

Nancy Fielder, editor in chief of the cities project at National World, said: “Glasgow World goes from strength to strength and Rosalind Erskine has done a fantastic job in setting up the title for continued success.

“As Rosalind moves on to a great new project with National World and The Scotsman in particular, we are now looking for the next editor of Glasgow World.

“It’s an exciting time to lead a team of innovative journalists as part of National World’s digital growth plans.”
