A new director has joined a regional publisher’s board after its outgoing chief operating officer left his post early.

National World has announced the appointment of David Lindsay as a non-executive director who will chair the company’s audit committee.

David, pictured, has more than 35 years of industrial experience and was recently chief executive at engineering services company TP Group.

In addition, National World has also announced the appointment of Sheree Manning as acting finance director.

Their appointments come after COO Vijay Vaghela, who was previously due to work a year-long notice period after revealing his resignation in June, stepped down from the board.

In a statement yesterday, National World said: “National World is pleased to announce the appointment of David Lindsay as non-executive director.

“Mr Lindsay joins the board today and will chair the company’s audit committee.

“He has over 35 years’ industry experience gained in senior UK and international roles as chief executive and chief financial officer for listed and non-listed businesses.”
