Former daily business editor sets up own company

Lucy RoueA former regional daily business editor has launched her own company.

Lucy Roue, who ran the business desk at the Manchester Evening News from 2017 to 2019, has announced the launch of Time and Tide Content with business partner Martin Keelagher.

Since leaving MEN owner Reach plc in 2020, she has worked in communications roles for various businesses.

Lucy, pictured, announced the new company’s launch in a post on LinkedIn.

She wrote: “It’s been a long time coming, but I’m proud to say I’ve started my own content consultancy business – Time and Tide Content.

“Thank you to my amazing business partner Martin Keelagher for helping me get to this point.”

Lucy began her career as a trainee reporter on Newcastle daily the Chronicle, before becoming a senior reporter on Stoke-on-Trent daily The Sentinel and then the Liverpool echo.

In 2014, she became deputy business editor at the MEN and was promoted three years later.

From 2019 until her departure from Reach the following year, she was a regional commercial editor for the publisher.
