Is it or do the number of award ceremonies and types of award grow, as the number of news outlets/journalists shrink? And where, in all this, are the hyperlocals?
Perhaps new awards should be created:
Reporter whose copy needed least subbing.
News gatherer of the year (not on social media).
    Rewriter of the year.
Newspaper with the smallest circulation fall.
News website making the largest profit.
Commerical nonsense posing as news (sponsored by Greggs).
    Most miselading headline.
    Unfunniest feature of the year.
