Journalism awards to be given out more than a year after postponement

WMA 2020Journalism awards are set to be presented more than a year after the coronavirus pandemic prompted their postponement.

The Wales Media Awards has announced a virtual ceremony will be held at 7.30pm on Friday 30 April.

A physical ceremony was originally postponed days before it was due to be held in March last year.

The awards shortlist can be found here.

A statement posted on the WMA website reads: “We hope very much you will join us for the event which will be free to view.

“The link for the event will be shared in due course.

“The Wales Media Awards are organised as a fundraiser for the Journalists’ Charity in Wales, which helps journalists and their dependants in Wales with advice, grants and other forms of financial assistance.”
