The funeral of a former deputy editor who died suddenly last month aged 40 is to be held tomorrow.

HTFP reported earlier this month on the death of Alex Blackwell, who worked for the Harborough Mail for 11 years and had more recently freelanced for titles including the Northamptonshire Telegraph.

Capacity for the ceremony has been limited due to restrictions caused by the coronavirus.

Alex’s family have asked anyone wishing to obtain details of the funeral, which will be live streamed, to contact his brother James.

Alex, pictured, was found dead at his home in Kibworth, Leicestershire, on 22 June.

His cause of death is currently unknown.
