Contributor who served Welsh language paper for four decades dies aged 95

Jac WilliamsA long-serving contributor for a Welsh language newspaper has died aged 95.

Tributes have been paid to Jack Williams, known as Jac Pontiago, who contributed to Llien Gwyn for four decades.

Jac, pictured, had been involved with Llien Gwyn, which is based in Fishguard, since its inception.

Current editor Bonni Davies has paid tribute.

Bonni told the Western Telegraph: “He was full of energy. He was involved with so many things in the area.

“He was very fond of the Welsh language and everything involved with the language.”

Jac died last month and his funeral was held on 18 January.
