Regional press photographers vie for royal picture prize

Thirteen regional press pictures are vying for a royal news photography award – with a public vote now open to decide the shortlist.

Members of the public have until 5pm on Friday to choose their favourite entries in the 2019 Royal Rota photography competition, which features a prize for Regional/Local Newspaper Rota Photo of the Year.

The vote is used to create the competition shortlist, with the overall winners in each category being picked by a panel of expert judges.

Last year’s winner Adam Fairbrother, of the Lynn News, has been longlisted again for a picture of the Duchess of Cambridge, taken at Sandringham Church on Christmas Day 2018.

The full list of regional press entrants is as follows.  A link to the online voting form can be found at the bottom of the page.
