A regional publisher has launched a new companion website to a specialist business magazine it runs.
Trinity Mirror’s Media Scotland division has announced the launch of Insider.co.uk to serve as the online arm of Scottish Business Insider.
The site will provide a mix of live breaking city news, expert analysis and original economic data, as well as a daily email bulletin.
With no paywall, the site will be funded fully by advertising, sponsorship and associated events.
More than 30,000 existing articles have already been loaded on to the new site.
Editor Ken Symon said: “Insider.co.uk will report live business news and analysis from throughout Scotland each business day. To mark this we are doing launch events in four major cities across the country, in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee.
“We want insider.co.uk to be the go-to site for live Scottish business and so we want to hear the views from business people on what information they most need to run and grow their businesses. Insider.co.uk – incisive, informed, insightful.”
Michele Aaen, commercial director at Business Insider, added: “We are delighted to be investing in business journalism in Scotland. At a time of significant national and international developments, there has never been a greater need for business leaders to be informed than now.
“We are being disruptive, leading the way with a service no one else is offering.”
“More than existing 30,000 articles have already been loaded on to the new site.”
