A bit of a bumble led to a ‘carbuncle’ becoming a ‘carbunble’ on a weekly newspaper’s front page this week.
The headline error was spotted in yesterday’s edition of the Harborough Mail.

Headline leaves much to be desired in other ways.

Forgetting the headline for a moment, what a woeful front page that is. There is no indication what the plan is in the headline – it could be anything from changes to recycling to refusing Disney permission to build a theme park. I’m not a fan of the amount of words on the front page either, but that is personal preference, however what is that picture? I mean it is dreadful. What use does it have other than presumably keeping the page designers happy and filling a template?
