The public may have been reassured in the above View from Beaminster story, but whether they were reassured by the spelling in the headline is another matter.
The error was spotted in last week’s edition of the Dorset newspaper.

Did the editor check the front page before it went to press? Always used to on my paper until they did away with it and brought in content editors and group editors, none of whom appeared to do much editing in my unfortunate
experience.
