Former HTFP journalist makes ‘Bould’ PR move

A former HoldtheFrontPage journalist who went on to become acting head of content at two Johnston Press weeklies has made the move into public relations.

Sarah Bould, 35, has joined Ilkeston-based PR and marketing agency Poppy-PR as a manager after ten years in journalism.

Until recently Sarah had been acting head of content at JP titles the Derbyshire Times and Mansfield Chad, having rejoined the group following a stint at the Burton Mail.

Earlier in her career she worked at the Ripley and Heanor News and subsequently as an internet journalist with HoldtheFrontPage from 2011-12.

She said: ““I always knew if I was ever going to make a career change, it would be a move into PR, so when this position at Poppy-PR came up, I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to join the team as I’ve been in journalism for ten years and they are such closely related fields.”

Added Tina: “We are really excited to have Sarah joining the team, she brings an amazing amount of journalism experience to the table.  Her positive attitude and drive has helped her to click with the rest of the team straight away.

“I’ve known Sarah a while whilst she has worked for numerous local titles, and when the position became available, I knew that she would be perfect for the role.”
