A special supplement marking a rugby club’s 150th anniversary has been produced by a weekly newspaper.
The Bath Chronicle has release the stand-alone 104-page supplement on the history of Bath, one of English rugby’s oldest and most famous clubs.
The publication features exclusive interviews with the club’s stars and coaches from the 1960s to the present day.
Selling at £2, a contribution of 50p from each copy sold will be made to the Bath Rugby Foundation, which works to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in the region.
A dedicated channel for all anniversary-related content has also been set up on the Chronicle’s website.
The supplement has been created by the newspaper’s rugby writer Daniel Evans and creative editor Sian David.
Said Daniel: “Immersing myself in the rich history of Bath Rugby has been absolutely fascinating.
“The task of encapsulating 150 years into one publication was a monumental one.
“We just hope we’ve done the old club justice.”
The supplement is on sale at the club’s ground the Rec, Bath Rugby Shop and ticket office, the Chronicle stand at SouthGate shopping centre, as well as Coop, McColls, Tesco, One Stop and Sainsbury’s stores in the Bath area.
It can also be ordered from the Chronicle’s website.
