Comeback for former executive who left following takeover

1bf6b54A former senior executive of the Romanes Media Group who left his role after the company was sold to Newsquest has landed another top job.

Keith McIntyre, left, has joined Oban Times and Scottish Field publisher Wyvex Media as its new group operations director.

Until this summer Keith was group publishing director at Romanes, with editorial oversight of its Scottish and Berkshire titles.

His departure “to pursue other business interests” was announced at the end of June, five weeks after the Newsquest takeover.

Keith has also worked as managing director of Johnston Press-owned Tweeddale Press and as marketing director for JP’s Scottish Division.

In his new role, Keith will report to Wyvex group MD Alister Bennett.

Other senior appointments at Wyvex see Nicky Murphy rejoin the company as advertising director designate and company accountant George Graham  promoted to the role of group finance director.

Said Alister: ”We are delighted to have people of the calibre of Keith and Nicky join our company and to announce George’s well deserved promotion.

“I am sure these appointments will further strengthen the position of Wyvex Media within the Scottish Publishing industry.”

Is this the only man on the planet who’s had more jobs than Harry Redknapp. Good luck to him I say!
