A regional newspaper website has announced the resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron after a training exercise went wrong.
The Prime Minister’s political demise was reported on Wales Online, the companion site for Trinity Mirror’s Welsh newspaper titles including the Western Mail and South Wales Echo.
The story was published yesterday afternoon and swiftly taken down although visitors to the site managed to capture screengrabs.
A Trinity Mirror spokesman confirmed the error occurred as a result of a training exercise.
