Trinity Mirror appoints new sales and marketing director

Trinity Mirror has appointed a new group newspaper sales and marketing director who will work across its regional and national titles.

Neil Jagger, left, will join the company early next year from Associated Newspapers, where he has been circulation director of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday since 2000.

In his new role, Neil will lead newspaper sales along with consumer and retail marketing, while also becoming a member of the company’s recently-formed Publishing Operations Group, which is responsible for driving the One Trinity Mirror publishing strategy.

Trinity Mirror has also appointed Zoe Harris to the new role of group marketing director, who will join from a role as strategy director at WCRS and will report to Neil.

Chief operating officer Mark Hollinshead said: “I’m delighted both Neil and Zoe are joining us in these newly-created roles at this hugely important and exciting time for the group.

“Unifying the sales and marketing functions under these senior positions is designed to deliver a One Trinity Mirror publishing model that will help us sell more newspapers.”
