New app helps budding reporters choose courses

Budding reporters could be guided in choosing the right journalism course for them with the launch of a new iPhone app.

Chris Gaynor has launched the Journalism Course Finder app to help people narrow down the best course options for them, with most of the ones listed being accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists.

His free app includes a survey which asks the budding journalist questions regarding their suitability for the profession and once a course has been chosen, the institution can be contacted directly.

Chris, who undertook journalism training in 2006, said the idea for the app came about after he had found it difficult to find the right course quickly and it had then been created by an app developer.

Since his journalism training, Chris has written for websites and local newspapers before branching out into mobile marketing.

The app can be downloaded here.

Hmm, I think this app needs more work before it was launched or promoted. Looks really amateur and needs proofing – ‘Take Surrvey’ anyone?
