The venue for this year’s biggest awards gathering for the local and regional press has been announced.
London’s Park Plaza Riverbank will host the ceremony for the Society of Editors Regional Press Awards on May 11.
The awards, held in association with the Newspaper Society and HoldtheFrontPage, are designed to celebrate the best of British regional newspaper journalism during 2010.
More than 750 entries were received for the 23 categories with the shortlist due to be published next month.
Attendance at the lunch will be at the special inclusive price of £70 plus VAT per person or £700 plus VAT per table to include refreshments at the Newspaper Society AGM, a pre-lunch drinks reception and wine with lunch.

Situated on the Albert Embankment on the south bank of the Thames, the Park Plaza has M16 as a near neighbour and is a stone’s throw from Lambeth Palace.
The nearest tube station is Vauxhall – a short five minute walk away.
