Trainee & junior reporters
|Employment Type:||Full time|
Britain’s most successful newspaper group is looking for trainee sub-editors. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work at the Daily Mail newspaper.
Our trainee sub-editors embark on a year-long programme that involves intense training, assessment and on-the-job experience at regional newspapers.
The successful applicants will probably have a degree and will have shown a commitment to journalism by working for their student newspaper/website and gained work experience in newsrooms.
We want self-starters with a real interest in current affairs and a proven track record in grammar, punctuation and accuracy. A flair for headline writing and page layout skills would be a bonus.
The course starts in September/October with intensive in-house training in London during which the trainees are introduced to Mail style and culture. It is followed by five months regional placement after which the trainees will join the Mail subs department.
To apply send a covering letter, your CV and the three best examples of your work to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday February 9.
