The award winning Society of Editors Daily Newspaper of the Year (below 20,000) The Mail, in Barrow in Furness is looking for a new sports reporter and general news reporters.
The busy three edition, campaigning daily newspaper is part of Newsquest - one of the country's leading regional media companies.
The vacancy available is for an organised and competent senior looking for career development at an award winning daily newspaper.
The role will predominantly involve covering the National League side Barrow AFC.
There are also a number of trainee and senior news reporter roles available.
South Cumbria is a beautiful part of the world to live and work and offers reporters a wide variety of stories to get their teeth into. This year alone the paper has covered big national stories ranging from the influx of high profile drugs death in Barrow, a visit from the Prime Minister and other high profile ministers as well as the government investing millions of pounds into the BAE Shipyard.
To be considered for the sports role, you will be fully NQJ qualified and have experience as a sports reporter.
To be considered for the news roles you will have passed your NCTJ prelims with shorthand and/or be fully NQJ qualified already.
