• Program Director of the Foundation and PR manager of David Nieper fashion
• High-level post with PR/Journalism as core skill
• Derbyshire Based, hybrid working. Full Time, or 3-4 days per week

Varied and interesting role with responsibilities including PR for David Nieper fashion and leading the activities of Christopher Nieper Foundation. We seek a dynamic individual with a proven track record as a PR specialist, journalist or publicist gained at senior level. Working directly with the CEO and senior managers to write and place irresistible content, respond to press enquiries, manage media visits/events and be Program Director of the Foundation which includes managing the Spirit of Alfreton.

We are based in Alfreton, on the edge of Peak District, in easy commuting distance of Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield. Some working from home could be appropriate, as well as occasional travel to London. We are a people centred family business where hours of work can be arranged around personal commitments, although being present for media events, sometimes at short notice, is an essential requirement.

Would suit a self-starter with a disruptive, ambitious PR mindset and a passion for social justice and purpose. Articulate and good at making media connections and instinctive at spotting PR opportunities. Awareness of relevant current affairs would be an advantage and at home promoting a premium women’s fashion brand. Ideally, you will have at least five years of experience in PR, alongside a degree level education in English, journalism, or a related field.

Christopher Nieper Foundation aims to lead the rejuvenation of Britain’s forgotten towns by making Alfreton an exemplar. The Foundation supports Christopher Nieper Education Trust, it founded and runs the spirit of Alfreton, it has a Strategic partnership with Derby University and it has strong connections with Westminster’s prominent think tank, the Centre for Social Justice.

Christopher Nieper Education Trust Formed in 2016 to sponsor Derbyshire’s worst failing secondary school. Today the school, now renamed David Nieper Academy is one of the most oversubscribed in Derbyshire with almost every student leaving with a job, an apprenticeship or a place at university or College. Nationally there are 1 million NEETs and this achievement in a left-behind town is turning heads in Westminster. The trust now has 4 schools in and around Alfreton.
