EDITOR - IPSWICH STAR
We have a leadership opportunity for an Editor to figurehead and champion our trusted news brand the Ipswich Star. You will oversee, coach and inspire a small team of dedicated reporters tasked with producing the best journalism and most engaging content possible to meet the needs of the audience and community you serve through the newspaper, website and social channels.
Through building strong relationships, you will ensure that the content is reaching the heart of issues and concerns for the community and ensure that the Ipswich Star brand is a central source for the marketplace.
The Ipswich Star is looking for someone new to lead the team as Editor and we want someone who likes to do things a bit differently.
It's a campaigning title and we want someone who wants to take the brand forward and fight for the people of the town.
So how about taking a job where you can make a real difference not only to the title but also to the town you work in?
With the heavyweight East Anglian Daily Times as its sister title, there is plenty of opportunity to have a broader outlook across Suffolk as well, working in hand in hand and supporting the Editor of that title, too. You will also, at times, have responsibility for the EADTs products and platforms and run the entire Suffolk news operation in the EADT’s Editors absence, driving the live digital agenda.

This full-time opportunity is based in Ipswich and will require working early, late and weekend shift patterns.
