Job Description

Royal Free London internal communications manager, band 6

Want to join an award-winning communications team at one of the NHS’s biggest hospital trusts? Now’s your chance.

It is an exciting time for the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. We are leading the way on some of the biggest projects in the NHS and our clinical teams continue to deliver UK and world firsts.

We are one of only four high-performing foundation trusts to be accredited by NHS Improvement to lead groups or chains of NHS providers. The Royal Free London group is already up and running and we are sharing our expertise to ensure the NHS can deliver world class care to more and more patients.

We are looking for a dynamic communications professional who will play an integral part in ensuring staff share our vision and have an opportunity to shape and engage in the direction of the trust.

With a workforce of 10,000 staff it is vital that we get our internal communications right. The internal communications team plays a key role in managing the reputation of the organisation and crucial part of that is to ensure that staff, our main stakeholders, are engaged and communicated with regularly. This role is an opportunity to make a real impact on staff – and patient - experience.

We are looking for an individual who is creative and highly organised to support projects including the launch of our new social intranet, the opening of the new Chase Farm Hospital in 2018, as well as the development of the internal communications function for the group.

They will be required to work closely with colleagues from all levels of the organisation, advising on internal communications, and effectively and sensitively communicating complex information in a persuasive, motivating and empowering way.
