We are looking for an experienced, proactive person with a passion for local history and a keen interest in local news to lead the editorial end of Local Recall, an exciting new project which reclaims archive news stories for a modern digital audience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying key stories and themes which are important to local people in Norfolk and for using our archive to bring them to life.
They will build a team of local archivists to ensure the integrity of archive content as it goes from newsprint to new digital formats, and work with staff in the Eastern Daily Press’ Norwich base to build compelling, modern content from it.
You will have keen interests in local history, local news, digital publishing, traditional print publishing and social media.
You will be friendly and outgoing, with a passion for talking to people and an ability to organise and target them.
You will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and good IT skills.
