An environmental journalist has left a daily newspaper to become chief reporter at its sister title.

Dan Vevers, pictured, has held the environment brief at Glasgow’s Daily Record for two-and-a-half years.

Now has has moved on to take up the top reporting role at the Sunday Mail.

Dan announced his move on X last week.

He wrote: “Excited for a new challenge but would also like to say I’ve had a blast covering the environment brief for two and a half years at the Daily Record.

“To all the brilliant folk I’ve met who helped me with stories at the Record, do keep in touch as I’ll always be interested in the climate and environment.

“Obviously my brief is a bit wider now, covering, well, anything that makes a good story.”
