Cars were damaged outside a regional newsroom, prompting a police manhunt.

An unspecified number of cars were targeted outside the BBC Nottingham newsroom.

The incident at the London Road site, pictured, is believed to have taken place sometime between 8am and 4pm on 26 May.

Details were only revealed recently, and HTFP has asked Nottinghamshire Police for an update.

An image of a man was released by the force in connection with the investigation.

An accompanying statement said: “Can you help us identify this man?

“We’re investigating reports of criminal damage being caused to several cars at BBC Nottingham, London Road, on 26 May 2025.

“The incidents are alleged to have occurred between 8am and 4pm that day.

“Our investigation is ongoing, and we are now able to release an image of a man we would like to speak with following CCTV inquiries.
