News agency’s training arm rebrands as Media Academy

The UK’s national news agency PA Media has rebranded its training arm as the PA Media Academy.

Formerly known as PA Training, the new Academy will offer what it says are a “significantly expanded range of professional training courses for those looking to gain new skills and a competitive edge.”

It will offer four-and six-hour training sessions covering essential and advanced skills for journalists, content makers and communications professionals – bringing courses for each of these sectors together in the same place for the first time.

The Academy has also added a new apprenticeship for content creators as well as continuing to offer media training.

PA Media Academy managing director Vicky Frost said: “Our bold new brand mirrors the confidence we have in our training courses – and in the expert practitioners and trainers who deliver them.

“With a revised and reimagined programme of short courses aimed at professionals, gold-standard media training, leading apprenticeship training and our thriving NCTJ Diploma courses, we are thrilled to be working hand-in-hand with industry partners to deliver relevant training that reflects current practice.”

The redesigned courses utilise expertise from across the PA Media business while short courses focused on social media will be delivered in partnership with Hydrogen social media agency, part of PAMG.
