A new editor has taken charge of a regional title after leaving one of its sister publications.
Hannah Gildart has been unveiled as the new editor of Newsquest’s Suffolk Life magazine.
In moving to Suffolk Life, she leaves Essex Life, which she has edited for three years, although she went on maternity leave last year.
The vacancy at Suffolk Life came about after her predecessor Jayne Lindell announced her retirement after 13 years in charge.
Liz Nice, Newsquest’s regional editor for Suffolk, expressed delight at the appointment of Hannah, pictured.
“We’re really pleased to have an editor with such an excellent track record as Hannah to take over the reins at Suffolk magazine,” Liz told HTFP.
“She did an excellent job as editor of Essex Life so it’s great for us to be able to bring her to Suffolk, following the departure of our much loved former editor, Jayne Lindill, who has recently retired.
“Hannah has an intuitive understanding of the Life audience and a real passion for all things Suffolk. It’s great to have her on board.”
Hannah began her career as manager of County Wedding Magazines, based in Witham, Essex, in 2014.
The following year, she moved to become key account manager at Micro Scooters UK, before spending 11 months with Absolute Bridal magazine.
Returning to County Wedding Magazines in 2017, she had a four-year stint as editor running An Essex Wedding, Your London Wedding, Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding and Your Yorkshire Wedding, before joining Essex Life in 2021.
