A regional editorial chief has taken up a new role leading a team of local democracy reporters.

Dave Comeau has been unveiled as the new local democracy content editor at MyLondon, overseeing a team of nine reporters.

The role’s creation was revealed last month by Yakub Qureshi, pictured, Reach plc’s democracy editor.

Dave has spent 13 years working for Reach in Surrey and Sussex.

He currently serves a senior content editor on MyLondon, having moved across from leading SurreyLive’s digital team as senior content editor in March 2022.

Posting on X, Dave wrote: “I’m pleased to say I’ll be MyLondon’s new LDR content editor from next month, managing a team of nine local democracy reporters covering 24 London boroughs.

“Hit me up with any housing, transport or NHS stories, investigations or public interest issues.”
