Yorkshire Live reporter Lucy Marshall has announced her move to the Mirror as Lifestyle Reporter.

Said Lucy:  “It is absolutely a dream job for me, I am absolutely delighted, and I’m looking forward to taking on the challenge.

“It isn’t any easy industry to get into so I am proud of all I have achieved so far, working on Reach PLC regional websites for the past three years and working my way up to one of the company’s national sites.

“I really couldn’t have done it without the amazing people I have worked with and those who have guided me.

“During my time I visited Buckingham Palace, went on police raids and chases, reported on some horrific local crimes and tragedies, the Ukraine-Russia war, reported from Leeds Bradford airport, and even wrote from a tent at Leeds Festival!

“I will be sad to leave Yorkshire Live. Being from the county, it has been such an honour to report on my local patch and surrounding areas. It will always have a special place in my heart and be my go-to for news in my area.

“But I am buzzing to get started and I am looking forward to writing content from people around the country for a paper/website I have admired for years. It is such an amazing opportunity.”
