Entries from two universities have dominated the shortlist for a forthcoming set of awards celebrating the best journalism students in the Midlands.
Submissions from Birmingham City University and the University of Warwick receiving the most nominations ahead of nominations for this year’s Midlands Media Students’ Awards.
The awards are organised by Birmingham Press Club and will be held at Hockley Social Club, in Birmingham, on 8 November.
ITV Central’s Lewis Warner and Amber Sandhu, pictured, from BBC Asian Network will act as co-hosts.
Press Club chairman Llewela Bailey said: “We are all looking forward to the return of the Awards – the first we have been able to organise since the start of the Covid outbreak.
“As ever, the quality of the work submitted by media students from both the East and West Midlands has proven to be both outstanding and inspiring.”
Tickets for the awards are priced at £45 (inc VAT) each, to include a meal voucher and a drink.
To book, please email Press Club director Peter Brookes at [email protected].
