Sports journalists to debate impact of AI on their work

Darren Lewis 2023Sports journalists from around the country are being invited to debate the future of their industry – including the impact of artificial intelligence on their work.

The Sports Journalists’ Association is holding a special panel event for members next month.

The event, to be held at Woburn House, in London, will examine what the future might hold for sports media professionals.

Talking points will include younger audience behaviour, emerging content creator opportunities, the impact of AI, attracting and retaining a diverse workforce, trust in the industry, and authenticity.

The SJA’s new president Darren Lewis, pictured, will be among those on the panel.

Darren will be joined by Sky Sports News director Mark Alford, Mayowa Quadri, head of brand at sports lifestyle title Versus, Sportsbeat managing editor James Toney and Laura Williamson, deputy Editor of The Athletic.
