A specialist regional publisher’s expansion plans are taking shape with a new business website launching yesterday.

HampshireBizNews www.hampshirebiznews.co.uk has been created by Black Ox as a companion site to DorsetBizNews, which it acquired from founder and editor Andrew Diprose in January.

Black Ox, publishers of The Business Magazine which covers the Central South, Solent and Thames Valley area, plan to expand the ‘Biz News’ brand across the UK.

As reported by HTFP earlier this month, HampshireBizNews will be edited by former Mail Online communities editor Laura King, pictured.

Said Laura: “This is an amazing time to be launching a local business news site, as so many amazing ideas and opportunities have come from the struggles of the past three to five years.

“We plan to champion businesses of all sizes, but especially SMEs, while backing Hampshire as an exciting place to do business.”

The new site boasts 32 individual news categories in a bid to “reflect the diversity of the Hampshire business ecosystem.”

HampshireBizNews will follow the same style and journalism approach of DorsetBizNews which was established by veteran business journalist Andrew in 2019.

Black Ox, which is based in Camberley, also owns Gloucester-based NK Media, publishers of Business & Innovation Magazine.

It plans to launch more BizNews sites throughout 2023.
