News site’s reporters to visit 365 different neighbourhoods in 2023

Andy WordenA regional news title has vowed its reporters will visit 365 different neighbourhoods across the city it serves in 2023.

MyLondon has made the pledge in a bid to ensure that “every corner of the city is well-represented”.

MyLondon reporters have so far visited neighbourhoods including Acton, Tufnell Park, Canary Wharf, Wapping and Barking as part of the London365 project.

A dedicated channel showcasing stories gathered as part of the scheme has also been launched on the Reach plc-owned site.

MyLondon editor Andy Worden, pictured, said: “With hundreds of neighbourhoods across London we’ve been very aware that, even four years after launching the site, there’s always more we could do to get under the skin of what’s really happening in a community.

“This project will help us find out what’s great about different parts of the city and also what needs to be done to make life better for local residents.

“We hope it will enhance our audiences in different parts of the city and allow our reporters to make valuable new contacts.

“With many of the pieces we’ve done, simply by visiting the neighbourhoods we’ve come across other really strong stories when chatting to people who we meet there.”

David Bartlett, Reach’s audience and content director for London and the South East, added: “London365 is the embodiment of our commitment to keep expanding the coverage of MyLondon to reach as many people as possible.

“We’re really proud of the way MyLondon has progressed since its launch in late 2018, covering so many stories each day that would have otherwise gone untold.

“We hope that London365 will be informative and interesting to the current MyLondon audience, reach new audiences, and tell the stories of ordinary Londoners about the places they live.”
