The Impartial Reporter has announced Bobbie Hanvey will contribute weekly to the paper, sharing his “remarkable 50-year collection of photographs and stories”.

Bobbie’s unveiling comes after Rodney Edwards, editor of the Enniskillen-based weekly, pledged earlier this month to make “better use” of photography.

Bobbie won the Northern Ireland Provincial Press Photographer of the Year Award while working at the Down Recorder in 1985, 1986 and 1987.

He also won the award for ‘Best People Picture’ in 1985 and 1987, and has published a number of books of his photography.

Rodney, pictured, posted on Twitter: “I am thrilled to announce that legendary Fermanagh-born photographer Bobbie Hanvey is joining the Impartial Reporter.

“He will share his remarkable 50-year collection of photographs and stories with our readers every week.”
