A team of journalists have been made redundant after a regional publisher terminated a contract with PA.
Lifestyle and entertainment journalist Danni Scott has confirmed she and others who supplied content for Reach plc on behalf of PA Media have lost their jobs.
Danni announced the redundancies in a LinkedIn post in which she revealed she is looking for work.
HTFP approached both PA and Reach for clarification on the number of roles affected but both declined to comment, while Danni also declined to comment further when approached.
Danni wrote in her LinkedIn post: “After 6 months working as a features and audience writer for the Mirror on behalf of PA Media, I am sad to announce that I have unfortunately been made redundant along with the rest of the team as Reach terminated our contracts.
“On the bright side, I am now looking for work – keeping within journalism. I would love to dive into entertainment, beauty or back into tech but am open to all opportunities.
“My previous experience includes consumer, lifestyle, entertainment and showbiz coverage, and SEO content, across Reach regionals, the Mirror and The Sun.
“If you have any vacancies available or know of any recruiters with suitable work, please contact me as I’d be happy to have a chat.”
The move came after Reach last month revealed plans to cut 192 journalism jobs, with 420 roles in total being put at risk.
