A regional editorial boss has stepped up to a national role after overseeing a new training programme for her journalists.
Tindle Newspapers editorial director Emily Woolfe has become an industry advisor for the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
Emily’s appointment comes after Tindle recently launched a new digital training programme.
The scheme is aimed at building journalists’ understanding of new ways of reaching people through online newsgathering and publishing, including using AI for the first time.
Emily, pictured, said: “I am delighted to have been asked to be an industry advisor for the NCTJ, and had a great catch-up with Caroline Hawtin at University of Central Lancashire about the next steps.
“I’m excited to be able to play a part in ensuring our journalists of the future receive the best training, while also offering my help and support to the staff and students on the BA Journalism course.
“I look forward to getting out to meet them all in January.”
