An editor is leaving a regional title after a decade in charge.
Charlotte Skidmore, editor of Somerset Life magazine since 2013, is set to take up a new public relations post within the civil service.
Somerset-raised Charlotte began her career as an advertising features writer on the Weston Mercury, in Weston-super-Mare, in 2003.
Four years later, she became a reporter and was then promoted to chief reporter in 2009 before taking up her most recent role.
Publisher Newsquest is now recruiting a replacement for Charlotte at Somerset Life
The new editor will report to the group’s South and South-West magazines group editor Liz Kirby, who also edits Hampshire Life.
