A reporter at a city news website has landed a newsdesk role with a national broadcaster.

Lexi Iles, pictured, has been unveiled as the new assistant news editor at Channel 5 News.

Lexi joins Channel 5 from Reach plc website MyLondon having joined the site as a trainee in May 2022.

She previously served as an editor at Tooting Nub News.

Her move comes just a few weeks after Maia Snow, her colleague at the site, also landed a senior national news role.

Maia, who was content editor at MyLondon, move last month to become world news editor at the Daily Express.
