Newspapers across the UK have rounded off 12 days of national mourning with a series of special editions as Queen Elizabeth II was finally laid to rest.
The late Queen was buried in a private family ceremony on Monday night following a State Funeral at Westminster Abbey and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
Regional newspapers who have already produced some of the most memorable front pages in history over the past fortnight once more rose to the occasion to capture the historic day for posterity.
Here is a gallery of some of yesterday’s front and back pages from across the regional press. All our stories on how regional newspapers covered the Queen’s death can be found here.
