Regional journalist who married rock star to speak at annual press lunch

Suzan HolderA former regional press reporter will discuss her life as a rock star’s wife and her work as an author at an annual event for journalists.

The Birmingham Press Club has announced Suzan Holder, who is married to former Slade frontman Noddy Holder, as the guest speaker at its annual Christmas lunch.

Suzan, pictured, began her career as a teenager on the Black Country Bugle, later moving on to various Midland newspapers and news agencies.

She then worked for Central and Granada production studios, forging a career that led to a stint as executive producer of ITV’s Loose Women. Suzan has also had two novels published.

Press Club chairman Llewela Bailey said: “We are delighted that Suzan will be describing her journey from newsroom to bookstore when she appears as guest speaker at our ever-popular Christmas Lunch, which is again taking place at Edgbaston Golf Club.”
