Publisher to oversee rival’s print ad packages after new deal struck

Two regional publishers have struck a deal that will see one take responsibility for selling national print advertising packages for the other’s newspapers.

Reach plc has announced DC Thomson papers will be incorporated into the same advertising package deals as its Scottish titles.

DC Thomson papers affected by the move are Aberdeen dailies the Press & Journal and Evening Express and Dundee dailies The Courier and Evening Telegraph, as well as the Sunday Post.

According to Reach, the new partnership will “deliver the largest print advertising solution” in Scotland.

“As part of our highly successful packages we will deliver even more great value to our advertising customers. Reach continues to innovate the news brand market.”
