An independent title has produced its biggest-ever print run as it aims to expand the area it serves.
Business news publication Punchline Gloucester has published its latest magazine with a circulation of 16,000.
As well as Gloucester, 13,000 copies of the free title are being distributed in Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, Cam, Dursley, Stonehouse, Wotton-under-Edge, the Forest of Dean, Cirencester, the Cotswolds, Bishops Cleeve, Stroud and Berkeley.
A further 3,000 copies of the quarterly print tile will be delivered to sixth form schools in the new year.
The company is currently recruiting a journalist, and details of the role can found on HTFP here.
Punchline editor Mark Owen said: “The idea is that we cover the whole county. Nobody else does what we do – going to the business parks, trading estates and high streets delivering magazines – and it’s actually us who do it, we don’t deliver via a third party.
“It’s a huge job but it’s why we are successful. We get the magazine out to the business people that matter.
“There are four elements in putting Punchline together: The first is to get enough advertising to pay for the magazine and we can’t thank our advertisers and sponsors enough.
“The second thing is to write the magazine and fill it with fresh news and features, and also to design an interesting magazine that grabs people’s attention.
“The third element is printing and binding and the fourth and most critical part is to deliver Punchline, because without the deliverers there would be no audience.
“We’ve got a great delivery team who have been with us for a long time.”
