Journalists are being offered advice on using TikTok to promote their work in an online session.

Campaign group Women in Journalism is running the session to help working journalists make the most of the video-sharing service.

The session will be chaired by Daisy Wyatt, head of digital at the Daily Mail’s Mail+ platform.

Daisy, pictured, will be joined by Vice senior news reporter Sophia Smith Galer, BBC Look North presenter Monika Plaha and TikTok communications director Sophy Silver.

The panel will be sharing tips for journalists on growing their following, filming videos and using TikTok to spread the word about their work.

Registration for the event, to be held via Zoom, is free for WiJ members. It will take place at 6pm on Thursday 5 May.
