A business editor has left a regional daily after 18 years for a new PR role with a veterinary partnership.
Nadia Jefferson-Brown announced last month that she was leaving York Press to take on a then-undisclosed new role.
She has now taken up a position as PR and communications manager (North) for VetPartners, a York-based group which owns around 160 veterinary practices across the UK.
As well as business editor of the Press, Nadia was also editor of the Yorkshire Business Review regional magazine. She had been in journalism for 25 years.
Announcing her move on Twitter she said: “After 18 years I’m stepping down as business editor from June 23, ready for a new chapter in ‘the chronicles of Nadia’.
“It’s been my absolute pleasure and privilege to champion so many innovative businesses and entrepreneurs in York and North Yorkshire.
“I’ve had a blast, not least because of working with such a great team of talented folk over the years.
“Thanks to everyone who has shared their stories with me over the past 2 decades.”
