A regional publisher has relaunched a recruitment referral scheme which offers bonuses of up to £1,000 for its employees.

Reach plc has sent a reminder to staff about the scheme, open to all except senior management and those directly involved in the recruitment process for the positions in question.

Successful referees receive £500 when the person they have referred begins employment with the company and another £500 when they successfully pass their probationary period.

The relaunch of the scheme comes after Reach announced the creation of more than 50 new editorial jobs last month.

The expansion was announced as part of the publisher’s plan to run regional news titles covering every county in England and Wales.

The drive has seen the company launch recruitment drives for a number of new titles, as well as existing newspapers and websites.

A Reach spokeswoman said: “At Reach we’ve had a referral scheme in place for some time but with many new roles now open we’ve been reminding colleagues about the opportunity to help build our teams.”
