Regional journalists are being urged to enter an annual awards scheme that celebrates human rights journalism.

Amnesty International UK is inviting entries for its 30th annual Media Awards, which features a Regional Media category.

Other free to enter categories include those for Photojournalism, Student Journalist and The Gaby Rado Award for New Journalist.

The category is free to enter and entries must be from a media outlet based in the UK and published or broadcast for the first time in the UK between 1 January and 31 December 2021.

The closing date for entries is Thursday 20 January 2022.

Award winners will be revealed at a ceremony to take place at Amnesty UK’s Human Rights Action Centre in London on Wednesday 4 May 2022.
