The Edinburgh Evening News has mourned the loss of “our Duke” following the death of Prince Philip.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s passing has prompted widespread front page tributes from the regional press.
Many titles also chose to run special supplements commemorating his life.
The EEN was among them, featuring a 16-page pullout inside the newspaper on Saturday.
Like the Evening News, Aberdeen daily The Press & Journal chose an older photograph of the Duke, accompanied by his family, for its front page.
The Cambridge News highlighted his link to its patch, where he served as chancellor of the University of Cambridge between 1976 and 2011.
The Oxford Mail ran a black and white masthead with a photo of the Duke looking deep in thought.
News of his death also provided the first splash for the new-look Yorkshire Evening Post, which relaunched with a new masthead on Saturday.
